Marketing Communications Consent
Rules for optional promotional email, SMS and WhatsApp messages sent to customers in the European Union.
Last updated · 1 August 2026Marketing consent is separate from any order and is never a condition of buying a CupyGift product. Transactional messages about an order, payment, delivery, security or a support request are not treated as marketing.
Sender
Channels
Where offered, consent is requested separately for each communication channel, including email, SMS and WhatsApp. CupyGift does not treat consent for one channel as consent for all channels. Promotional emails are sent in line with Article 13 of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), which requires prior consent and an unsubscribe option in every message.
Message content
- new products and creative gift ideas;
- discounts, campaigns and promotional codes;
- seasonal gift reminders;
- service announcements with a promotional purpose;
- requests to review or share a finished product, where optional;
- advertising and reach measurement, where separately permitted.
Valid consent
Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and expressed through a clear affirmative action (Articles 4(11) and 7 GDPR). Consent boxes are never pre-ticked. Refusing or withdrawing consent has no effect on price, production, delivery, support or any other right you have.
Withdrawal and objection
You can withdraw consent or object to marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe or preference link in a message, by replying with an unsubscribe request where that is supported, or by contacting info@cupygift.com.
Withdrawal is free of charge and applies to future marketing. A minimal suppression record may be kept so that the unsubscribe request can be honoured.
Consent records
CupyGift may keep the contact details used, the channel chosen, the wording and version of the consent, the date, the source and any withdrawal record, to the extent needed to demonstrate and honour the choice under Article 7(1) GDPR.
